Smile Transformations by Dr Sam

Take a look at some of my smile makeovers using porcelain veneers and dental crowns.

Step by Step Process...

Step 1

  • Dental Health Check
  • Necessary Radiographs
  • Digital scans of your teeth
  • ‘Trial Smile’ to try in your design so you can see what your final smile will look like

Step 2

  • Teeth are minimally prepared to create enough space for your porcelain veneers/crowns
  • Digital scans sent to the lab technician
  • Temporary veneers/crowns are placed for 2-3 weeks

Step 3

  • Final restorations are carefully bonded to your teeth
  • Maintain regular dental & hygienist visits to keep both your gums and teeth in great health

Ceramic Veneers, Bridges and Crowns

This was a big change using porcelain veneers, crowns and bridges to give a natural finish to this patient’s smile whilst also protecting damaged teeth.

Now she can smile with confidence.

Ceramic Veneers

Enhancing the Smile!

Here we had a tricky case combining porcelain over crowded and discoloured teeth which had large fillings in them.

We used minimally invasive techniques, smile design and master ceramists to perfect this wonderful ladies smile.

FAQ

Most frequent questions and answers

This is case dependant, however on average with good care they can last 10-15 years.

Your natural tooth will need to be reshaped/prepared slightly to allow enough space for the veneer to sit. In some cases, there is very little to no preparation required however for this your teeth need to be very straight to begin with.

Sometimes if your teeth are very misaligned to start with and your current bite would not favour porcelain veneers, it would be advised to undergo orthodontic treatment such as invisalign to straighten your teeth prior to the final veneers.

Unlike composite veneers, porcelain veneers are stain resistant and do not change colour over time.

Porcelain veneers are extremely durable and hardwearing, however they can chip from accidental damage if not looked after.
